Panasonic Boosts its End-to-End Energy Solutions in North America

Panasonic is accelerating its green initiatives to realize its 100th anniversary vision which is to become No.1 Green Innovation Company in the Electronics Industry. In the middle of April, Panasonic announced the establishment of Panasonic Eco Solutions North America (PESNA), a new business unit of Panasonic Corporation of North America (PNA) moving one step forward to achieving its goal. PESNA will provide comprehensive renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions to corporate and public sector organizations from the planning and engineering stages through implementation, construction and permanent financing, as well as ongoing system maintenance.

JCM Capital announced on May 10 signing of an agreement with Panasonic Eco Solutions Canada Inc. to combine JCM’s financial network expertise with Panasonic’s bankable solar products and services. This announcement follows a previous announcement of Panasonic Eco Solutions to start manufacturing of solar panels under its own name at Celestica, an OEM solar panel manufacturer in Ottawa.

Panasonic Eco Solutions Canada Inc., a new affiliate of Panasonic Corporation of North America, has been established to deliver end-to-end energy solutions for the design, implementation and financing of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in Canada. The new Mississauga-based company is able to provide enterprise customers with a newly developed solar photovoltaic (PV) module product line, the SCI Series, designed to meet domestic content requirements under the Ontario Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) incentives program.
