BLJC is pleased to announce their second annual "An Inspired Future" event to be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.
An Inspired Future will offer business professionals the opportunity to learn, network and engage with many of Canada’s industry leaders, including top organizations from the financial services, resource, retail, government, telecommunication and technology sectors.
This event will feature keynote speaker Paul Hawken – famed environmentalist, entrepreneur, author, and consultant to heads of state and Fortune 500 CEOs on economic development, industrial ecology, and environmental policy. 
An Inspired Future will be the venue for the 11th Annual GLOBE Awards for Environmental Excellence. These prestigious awards recognize outstanding achievement in environmental stewardship in Canada and are presented annually to extraordinary companies and industry groups who have managed to balance competitive business strategies and sustainable development.

Keynote Speaker - Paul Hawken
 Paul Hawken is a renowned lecturer and famed environmentalist, entrepreneur, author, and consultant to heads of state and Fortune 500 CEOs on economic development, industrial ecology, and environmental policy.He has appeared on numerous media including the Today Show, Larry King, Talk of the Nation, Charlie Rose, and has been profiled or featured in hundreds of articles including the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Washington Post, Business Week, Esquire, and US News and World Report. His writings have appeared in the Harvard Business Review, Resurgence, New Statesman, Inc, Boston Globe, and many other publications.

 As founder and recent Chair of the Canada Green Building Council, Peter initiated the development of LEED in Canada. An outspoken advocate, he has devoted much of his time to his profession, to the community, the development of public policy and the advancement of sustainable education and practices. In recognition of his professional and community contributions, Peter became a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada in 1997 and in 2005 Peter was invested as a member of the Governor General's Order of Canada, the country's highest civilian award that recognizes a lifetime of outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation. Since merging his Vancouver-based firm with Perkins+Will in 2004, Peter has been a driving force across the organization, directing over 100 employees working on projects across Canada, the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
